Join us for lunch and a conversation about Equally Well – North Tyneside’s Health Inequalities Strategy and Implementation Plan. Cedarwood Trust is gathering views and feedback. North Tyneside’s Equally Well strategy sets out a high level plan to tackle health inequalities in North Tyneside between 2021 and 2025. Health inequalities are the unfair and avoidable differences in health across the population and between different groups within society. These differences are unfair because they are not random or by chance but largely socially determined, and they are not inevitable. For example – people from North Tyneside’s most deprived areas live shorter lives compared to residents from our least deprived areas – men live 11.7 years less and women live 10.6 years less. The strategy aims to: Reduce inequalities by breaking the link between people’s circumstances and their opportunities for a healthy, thriving and fulfilled life. There are 7 key themes within the strategy: 6th July - 12pm to 1pm (Book Now) Giving every child the best start in life / enable all children, young people and adults to maximise their capabilities and have control over their lives 7th July - 12pm to 1pm (Book Now) Ensure a healthy standard of living for all / an integrated health and care system 13th July - 12pm to 1pm (Book Now) The places and communities we live in and with 14th July - 12pm to 1pm (Book Now) Create fair employment for all 20th July - 12pm to 1pm (Book Now) Our lifestyles and healthy behaviours There are 14 FREE tickets available for each event.
