Are you of a certain age and feeling left behind in a world full of technology and gadgets? Do you find yourself a bit bamboozled by it all? Pop in to see Jessi and Cherri for support, advice and tips on getting savvy with the latest technology. We're running drop-in sessions on a Friday from 10:00am till 12:00pm. It's FREE and available to all ages, but we encourage older residents to come along. They can help with setting up email addresses, online applications, accessing social groups, looking out for scams etc. Also look out for the workshops with more specific topics and tasks like how to take a good photo with your phone, and become more confident in the world we now live in! Our new book club starts again on Monday 12th September, supported by Mary from North Shields Library, and will be on every Monday from 11:30am till 1:00pm. Join us for a friendly group to explore all kinds of different books including traditional books, audio and digital. Rediscover the pleasure of getting lost in a good book. All tastes catered for and any age! It's FREE and you can just come along on the day. If you'd like more info or have any queries, let us know via the form below: We're looking into starting a new group with a retired drama lecturer that will be based around films, with an education element to it. The BFI offer packs along with recommended age-appropriate films to cover such things as health, inclusion, addictions, physical fitness etc. There have been a number of films recently dealing with issues for the older generation from people such as Helen Mirren, Alison Steadman Jim Broadbent and Timothy Spall.
