A Safe Space for Early Years
Come along to family sessions at Cedarwood. They're free and offer a safe and enriching environment for your children, but also provide an opportunity for parents to learn valuable skills and make new friends.
When is it on?
Our family sessions run Tuesday to Thursday from 10:00am till 3:00pm and on Fridays from 10:00am till 2:30pm. Anyone can attend with young children and no booking is required.
What is available?
We offer a range of sessions and groups with no rigid timetable. It can depend on the weather or number of children in attendance, but we typically provide the following enrichment sessions:
Arty Clarty Play
One of our most popular sessions here at Cedarwood is messy play. Laughs, giggles, mayhem, mess and muck is always a hit for those young and old alike. Babies, toddlers, teenagers, parents, grandparents can get involved as much or as little as required.

Sensory Play
Sensory exploration and play are an essential, valuable part of early development. It aids children begin to make sense of the world and environment around them. As they grow and develop, experiencing new textures, materials and resources enriches their senses and ability to process new information.

Let us get moving, hopping, jumping full of energy! The sessions we are about to take part in are aimed to help you and your child to stay strong and healthy, so we can carry out all the fab things we would like to do in life.

Here at Cedarwood Early Years, we always aim to support and encourage people to follow their own journey. Peer supporting can offer many an increase in confidence, new experiences and knowledge, potentially leading onto further personal developments.
Maybe you have always had an interest in early years, would like to offer support to others, or would be interested in finding out more about what is required to run a play session. Why not give Peer Leading an opportunity.

General Play
We let kids be kids! It's important for children to have fun and play! We must always remember to allow children to PLAY. Play is their ‘job’. A child should have every opportunity to freely play whenever possible. Our playroom and outdoor area caters for all manner of play including toys, space and interactive elements.

With over 16yrs experience in supporting, promoting and encouraging new parents embarking on or considering breastfeeding, you can be confident of honest, knowledgeable advice within Cedarwood.
Cedarwood offers a warm, inviting environment, encouraging breastfeeding families of all ages. Join in with our peer led sessions, let siblings explore, and most of all enjoy those precious moments.
